Bildiyimiz kimi. Vəhhabi hərəkatının başladığı Hicaz və Nəcd ərazisi XVIII əsrdə Osmanlı hakimiyyəti altında idi. Buna görə də XVIII əsrdə dünyanın və Osmanlı dövlətinin siyasi vəziyyətini gözdən keçirməliyik. Bu da bizə Vəhhabi hərəkatının başlanma səbəblərini daha aydın göstərəcək.

Vahabism is a religious-political movement that propagandizes returning to the early purity of Islam, observing principles of monotheism most seriously and refusing to worship sacred places. This movement demands from Muslims to deviate from luxury in life, clothes and religious ceremony. Vahabism is an extreme development of principles and ideas of hambali faith. It was founded in the central areas of Arabian Peninsula in 18th century and very soon became one of the strongest religious political movement in that area. The movement named Vahhabism by their oppositionists while the founder of the movement was alive. And even nowadays the movement is known by this name.
